The successful inauguration of Peter Farago & Ingela Klemetz Farago´s exhibition NORTHERN WOMEN IN CHANEL at Dansk Design Museum in Copenhagen became the talk of the town. The photographs from NORTHERN WOMEN IN CHANEL came to life in this mid 1700th century building that plays host to the exhibition until the 8 april 2012. No less than 60 large format photographs and 25 intimate polaroids featured in the new title BARE MOMENTS are displayed in this exhibition, that was attended by over 1200 special invited international and Danish guests.

The visionary photographer duo Peter Farago and Ingela Klemetz Farago, has as part of an exclusive collaboration with CHANEL in 2010 and 2011, created full fashion stories featuring 45 of the most sought-after supermodels from the Nordic and Baltic countries. The project has resulted in a lavish coffee table book and a touring photography exhibition, both entitled NORTHERN WOMEN IN CHANEL.Freja Beha Erichsen,Helena Christensen, Iselin Steiro, Louise Pedersen, Edita Vilkeviciute, Sigrid Ågren, Frida Gustavsson, Suvi Koponen, Kirsi Pyrhonen, Carmen Kass, Siri Tollerod, Caroline Winberg and Dorothea Barth Jörgensen are just a few of the women involved.The images of these remarkable women allow us to take an exclusive and intimate insight into the significant past and present Haute Couture and Prêt-à-Porter collections of CHANEL, as well as CHANEL’s Fine Jewelry and Beauty creations. Thanks to Faragos’ sense of the pictorial, these photographs not only celebrate the fascinating designs they record, but also produce sensational reinventions, demonstrating how fashion, photography and art can come together.Furthermore the series of images are accompanied by a preface by Karl Lagerfeld in celebration of these Northern heroines.For the exhibition at the DESIGNMUSEUM DANMARK, NORTHERN WOMEN IN CHANEL has been enriched with a suite of black and white portraits of the participating models, delicate intimate moments captured by the photographers.The exhibition of NORTHERN WOMEN IN CHANEL feature no less than 60 large format photographs and 25 black and white portraits, selected amongst the books 400 photographs.

During the making of NORTHERN WOMEN IN CHANEL we decided to also unveil each woman through an intimate and raw series of instant portraits. These plates are BARE MOMENTS.
